There are two types of filter circuits commonly used in high-power DC stabilized power supply filters: passive filtering and active filtering. The main forms of passive filtering are capacitive filtering, inductive filtering, and complex filtering (including inverted L-type, LC filtering, LCπ-type filtering, and RCπ-type filtering, etc.).
The main form of active filtering is active RC filtering, also known as electronic filters. The magnitude of the pulsating component in DC power is represented by the pulsating coefficient S. The larger the value, the worse the filtering effect of the filter.
Ripple coefficient (S) = greater fundamental value of AC component of output voltage / DC component of output voltage
The principle of the high-power DC stabilized power filter is an impedance adaptation network: the greater the impedance adaptation between the input and output sides of the power filter and the power and load sides, the more effective is the attenuation of electromagnetic interference.
The specific working principle is as follows: After the alternating current is rectified by the diode, the direction is single, but the size (current intensity) is still constantly changing. This pulsating DC is generally not directly used to power radio equipment. In order to change the pulsating DC into a smooth DC, you need to do a little more work of "filling in and filling out". This is filtering. In other words, the task of filtering is to reduce the fluctuation component in the output voltage of the rectifier as much as possible and transform it into a nearly constant DC power.
According to the electromagnetic disturbance characteristics of the high-power DC stabilized power port, the power EMI noise filter is a passive low-pass filter, which transmits AC power to the power source without attenuation, and greatly attenuates the EMI noise introduced with the AC power. It can also effectively suppress the EMI noise generated by power equipment and prevent them from entering the AC grid to interfere with other electronic equipment.
